PHOTO & VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Welcome to the first ever Virtual Lindsay Exhibition! We understand that a virtual exhibition is a new format for most of our exhibitors and may pose challenges for entry submissions. We created this section to help our exhibitors ensure that the photos and videos they submit properly represent the quality of their entries and enable the judges to view the entries in a similar manner as they would in person. Please be sure to view the Virtual Competition Resource Page on our website for examples of photo and video for livestock entries.

GeneralPhotosVideos
- If making multiple entries, plan to photograph everything in one session and upload them all at the same time.- Take multiple photos, then select the best from the group, this increases your chances of finding one that really shows off your animal.- Use a tripod if possible to steady the image, move slowly.
- Minimize background distractions.- Any device with a camera can be used, make sure to focus your entry before taking the photo by taping the screen on a smartphone/tablet or lightly pressing the capture button on a digital camera.- Mute all of your videos before submitting.
- All videos/photos done in landscape view, if using a smartphone or tablet make sure to turn your device to a horizontal position before beginning.- 1 photo per entry (side view)- Maximum of 1 minute
- The animal should occupy as much of the frame of view as possible, adjust the camera angle and distance from the animal to minimize the space not occupied by the entry.- Accepted file types: JPEG, JPG, PNG, TIFF- Videos must be 720p quality or higher (no 4K)
- Be aware of the position of the sun when taking photos and videos. Photo and video quality is improved when the sun is behind the camera person.- 1 video per entry
- Double check that your file types match the accepted file types before submitting- Accepted file types: MOV, MPEG, MP4
- Do not enhance or adjust your submission files.- Remember to watch the example videos on the Virtual Resources Page
- Avoid the use of flash.
